Bradley and Pinella Fueding, Beckett Dominating Braves Still
The Cubs beat the White Sox on Friday 5-4 but Milton Bradley and Lou Piniella were going at it in the dugout. Bradley struck out on a pitch from Jose Contreras and proceeded to walk into the dugout smashing water coolers and chucking his helmet. Piniella and Bradley got into an argument in the tunnel and it was said by Pinella after the game that they exchanged words and Lou told Bradley to take off his uniform and go home…ouch! This was bound to happen, anyone could have called this the day after the Cubs signed Bradley but it took 70 games until the scuffle happened. Piniella also said this wasn’t the first time Bradley has done something like this and he was just fed up. Well that was obvious. Milton Bradley has so much talent but it’s a complete waste because he is such an ass and takes his job for granted. There are so many things I would give up to have his job and NOT be an ass, but nooooooo this jackass is making $10 million a year to bat .237 and bring nothing to the table.

Sweet Lou!
Cubs starter Randy Wells got the W and is 2-3 on the year with a 2.57 ERA. Carlos Marmol came into the game and almost blew it though and recorded just one out before walking 3 guys and giving up 2 hits. Kevin Gregg came in the 9th to close the door and struck out Scott Podsednik to end the game on a terrible call. The pitch was about 6 inches off the black and Podsednik and Ozzie were both arguing after the game had ended.
Jair Jurrjens is winless in five June starts but has not pitched bad by any means. He is 5-6 on the season with a 2.93 ERA but the Braves just don’t score for him. Same thing happened on Friday when the Braves put up just one run for him, a homerun by David Ross which was his 6th of the year. Coming into the contest Josh Beckett has given up just 2 ERs against the Braves and he continued that dominance. Beckett gave up no runs yet again against the Braves in 7 innings giving up just 6 hits and no walks. Not only did the Braves lose but Nate McClouth hurt what appeared to be his hamstring while trying to beat out an infield single.
