Biggest Jumps of the Week: Cubs +6, Twins -6

1. Dodgers (62-36) – The favorite to win the WS if they join the Halladay/Lee chase, but will most likely lose Loney in the process.
2. Yankees (60-38) – They are playing the best baseball of anyone after the ASG and have lost just 1 game since.
3. Angels (58-39) – Just snapped an 8-game winning streak thanks to the Twins but this team is hitting stride now which is scary.
4. Phillies (56-40) – Finally got over the .500 hump at home; they are 2 games over now.
5. Red Sox (57-40) – At some point the Red Sox must beat other teams than the Yankees to win this division.
6. Rangers (54-42) – Being 12 games over .500 you would think your team is in 1st, but that’s not the case with the Rangers who trail by 6.5 games.
7. Rays (54-45) – The entire team is built up to make a 5-tool megateam. Speed, hitting, accuracy, defense etc.
8. Rockies (54-44) – With the Rockies trading away Holliday in the offseason and no one knowing who their starting OF is, this is pretty impressive.
9. Giants (52-46) – Got owned by the Rockies this weekend, but they still have the best pitching in baseball.
10. Tigers (52-45) – After losing the lead to the Sox in the Central they took 3 of 4 from the Sox this past weekend.
11. Cardinals (53-48) – In 2 weeks this ranking will shoot up to #6 after the Holliday effect falls into place.
12. Cubs (51-45) – Soriano has raised his piss-poor average out of the .220 basement and into the .240s!
13. Braves (51-48) – Suddenly the Braves are buyers come the trade deadline and could use another bat.
14. White Sox (51-48) – Mark Buehrle threw a perfect game!
15. Mariners (51-47) – Despite being much better than expected, the Mariners are likely to trade Washburn and try to snag the division next year.
16. Brewers (49-49) – Brew Crew slipped down to 4th in the Central, but I failed to mention they are just 3 games out of 1st.
17. Astros (50-48) – Berkman was just getting hot before hitting the DL. His average is just .273 but his OBP and power numbers are just like usual.
18. Marlins (51-48) – Creeping down the Phillies spine and it helps when you have the NL batting leader on your team.
19. Twins (49-50) – If the Twins go 50-50 tomorrow they have to go 40-22 to win this division. It won’t happen.
20. Blue Jays (48-51) – Once Halladay is out, this team may be in the basement of the AL East. They better pick it up!
21. Mets (46-51) - Are any injuried Mets planning on playing at all this year?
22. Orioles (42-55) – What big time prospects will the O’s land this year? None, unless someone overvalues Aubrey Huff THAT much.
23. Pirates (43-55) – This team doesn’t know what the definition of rebuilding means. At some point you must ACTUALLY rebuild!
24. Indians (41-58) – Say bye to Cleveland Cliff Lee and Victor Martinez.
25. Reds (44-53) - This team was .500 about 3 weeks ago and competing for the divison; now they are about to be passed by the Pirates.
26. Diamondbacks (43-56) – At this point Webb should shut it down! Not worth the injury risk.
27. A’s (41-56) – Despite 2 run-scoring outbursts vs. the Twins, this team’s bats are pathetic and they may lose Cust next.
28. Royals (38-59) – The Royals can’t even get wins for Greinke because they average an AL worst 3.88 runs per game.
29. Padres (38-36) – The Fathers had a 10-game win streak at one point. That’s more than 25% of their wins from one streak.
30. Nationals (30-68)
