Biggest Jumps: Giants +5, Blue Jays -2

1. Yankees (82-48) – Is anyone else annoyed that the Joba rules have changed three times in the last week?  Somehow this still doesn’t distract Yankee players like it does me.
2. Cardinals (77-55) - With two Cy Young candidates on the team and a ten game lead in the Central, this team is poised to make a run deep into the playoffs.
3. Angels (77-52) - Got a big boost by adding Kazmir to the rotation but that likely means the end of John Lackey after this season…oh darn.
4. Phillies (75-53) – Philly fans are anxious to see Lidge out of the closer role with Madson taking his place, but Manuel just won’t pull the trigger.
5. Dodgers (78-53) – On Sunday, the Dodgers added utility man Ronnie Belliard, just the move that will help them for the playoff push, sorta.
6. Red Sox (76-54) - If you can’t even take 2 of 3 from the Yankees at home you clearly have no shot at the division, they just better hope they can beat the Rays!
7. Giants (72-59) - Randy Johnson wants another ring so bad he is willing to pitch out of the pen; something he has done just ten times in the regular season.
8. Tigers (69-60) - Each and every time I see this team losing in the 7th inning or late and I proclaim, “YES” to myself and then they ALWAYS come back and win, without fail.
9. Rockies (72-59) - They looked like they were going add a big lead in the Wild Card but getting swept at San Fran doesn’t help their cause.  Let’s see how they recover.
10. Rangers (72-57) – Texas is struggling to gain ground in the Wild Card and have not been playing well as of late and just lost two of three vs. Minnesota.  They are 3.5 back of Boston.
11. Rays (70-59) - With Kazmir gone, Wade Davis is likely to fill in leaving the Rays rotation battling for a playoff spot with three rookie pitchers!
12. Braves (68-62) - Tim Hudson comes back on Tuesday which could be a big boost to this club if they happen to catch the Rockies/Giants in the Wild Card.
13. Marlins (68-62) - Thanks to a friend from the site, I just scored a Hanley Ramirez autograph!  YES!
14. Mariners (68-63) – There’s always next year.
15. Twins (65-65) - Just when I counted them out they go home and are winning games but unfortunately so are the Tigers!
16. Cubs (65-63) - Soriano’s MRI revealed no structural damage on his knee.  Maybe they should run some tests on his approach at the plate, see what’s wrong there…GOT ’EM.
17. White Sox (64-67) – Peavy is one rehab start away from making his White Sox debut, yet again but this time because of elbow pain.
18. Astros (62-68) - I failed to mention last week that new signee Armando Benitez gave up back-to-back-to-back to back HRs in his Astros debut in Triple-A, yes four in a row!!!
19. Brewers (64-66) – Well we know the Brewers can beat the Pirates at home but it’s every other team they struggle against.
20. Mets (59-72) - The Mets has $88 million worth of payroll on the DL, enough said.
21. Indians (58-72) - Matt LaPorta is here to stay for the rest of the year being the Indians are 11.5 games out.
22. Blue Jays (58-70) - Roy Halladay has Mark Buehrle syndrome and can’t seem to pick up a W in his last three starts.
23. Diamondbacks (59-72) - The D-backs leadoff hitter, Stephen Drew, has the third most RBI on the team with 56.  That’s embarassing.
24. A’s (57-73) - Josh Outman has the best baseball name for a pitcher but that’s all Oakland has going for them.
25. Reds (56-73) - Homer Bailey pitched great in his last start and maybe showing signs that he wasn’t a fluke minor leaguer.
26. Orioles (54-77) – When your ace has a 5+ ERA you are in for a looooong season.
27. Padres (56-76) - Suck.
28. Pirates (53-75) – They have the nerve to bench Doumit for not performing…why is anyone on the team allowed to play then?
29. Royals (50-80) - The Royals have won ONE of their last seventeen series!
30. Nationals (46-85) - Rumor has it Strasburg had his first professional workout two days ago.  That’s literally the only news out of D.C. for baseball.
