Jose Offerman Receives Lifetime Ban From Dominican Winter Baseball League

Jose Offerman was at it again and by “at it” I mean beating people up in baseball.  Last year Offerman hit an opposing catcher in the head with a bat after being hit by a pitch in an Independent League game.  While in Winter ball this year Offerman swung a forearm at an umpire after the ump made a call to Offerman’s disliking.  Here is the video and if you look at the slow motion replay I don’t think the forearm actually nailed the ump, but nonetheless who the hell does Offerman think he is?

There is no place for beating people up or even throwing punches at players, fans and even umps regardless of what you thought of their call.  Offerman is banned from Dominican Winter League baseball, where he was the interim manager for the Licey Tigers.  He wasn’t even the real manager!  Jesus what is wrong with this guy.  I believe that Offerman should be suspended from all of baseball for life.  He had done this once in the past, which isn’t ok to begin with, but after given a second chance you don’t deserve a third anywhere!  The umpiring crew for that game resigned from Dominican baseball saying they feared for their lives and then they fled the country.  What a shame.

Jose Offerman has to be the biggest hot head AFTER playing in the majors… I never noticed him having this reputation while playing in it!
