Pennant Races are starting to heat up with the weather as we enter the final weekend in May. Let’s take a look at some of this weekend’s key matchups!
NY Yankees at Cleveland: Longtime Indians SP CC Sabathia makes his first return to Cleveland as a visitor and gets the start on Saturday for the Yankees. Sabathia is only 4-3 on the season, but his 3.42 ERA seems to drop every start. Both of these teams have been hot as of late, and I expect this series to be very competitive, …

Jose Canseco knows everything there is to know about steroids in baseball. He knows 100% of the players who took them and injected 40% of them and the man NEVER tells a lie. Ok, well I just lied, but I’m not lying when I say Canseco is crazy. After retiring Canseco has written two books, has boxed in a celebrity boxing match and is now competing in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).
For some odd reason Canseco decided to try his luck in MMA; I have NO IDEA what type of martial …

It’s Memorial Day, and in the eyes of baseball it is the first official checkpoint in a team’s season. For anyone not familiar with what I mean by this, Memorial Day draws the line that separates the early part of the season from the rest of the year. Therefore, if you’re projected as a good team but in last place, you may not actually be good team, and if you’re projected as a bad team but in first place, it’s possible that you actually are a good team. In other …

Last year for Memorial Day, MLB made new hats that displayed the American flag within each teams’ logo instead of its normal color schemes. The Cleveland Indians hat from last year had Chief Wahoo on it with the stars and stripes spead across the logo. Wait, isn’t that a little controversial considering what Memorial Day stands for and the fact that the Indians have a Native American on their hat? It was basically a slap in the face to some people and many people were offended. The Indians over the …

Chicago Cubs RF Milton Bradley isn’t always the brightest person around.
On Sunday, Bradley made a public statement that he believes the umpires of the MLB are ganging up on him and calling bad pitches strikes. This is creating a bigger strike zone and forcing him to swing at bad pitches.
Bradley has already been suspended once this year for arguing a strikeout call, and that is the basis of his proclamation. Check out this quote from MB:
“Unfortunately, I just think it’s a lot of ‘Oh, you did this to my colleague,’ …

This year’s biggest rookie buzz was supposed to be David Price of the Tampa Bay Rays, on Sunday he finally got called up to start on Monday. Last September Price blew Major League Baseball away by storm. The average baseball fan may not have heard of David Price, but the 22 year old is from Murfreesboro, Tennessee and was drafted by the Dodgers in the 19th round in 2004 straight out of high school. He didn’t sign and went on to pitch three years at Vanderbilt University from 2005-2007. In …
