Phillies Phill
May 24th: My bad, it’s been a while. J-Roll is back on the DL, Roy Halladay is pitching like a human being, and we lost 2 out of 3 to the Sox including almost being one hit. This is not good.
May 9th: Even though Cole Hamels tried to lose this game, the offense blasted 3 HR’s to put it away. Lidge also had his first save of the year. Niiiiice. (19-12)
May 6th: Wow. The Phils could start to get hot after taking 3 out of 4 from the Cards. Jayson Werth is playing MVP caliber baseball, while Halladay continues to beast…he’s 6-1…The Phils are now 17-11. Whew! I’m impressed.
May 1: Hello Mets’ fans. Meet Doc Halladay. Another CG shutout when the Phils needed it badly.
April 26th: Halladay got an L?? This must be bizarro world.
April 22nd: Moyer pitched 6 solid innings giving up two unearned runs. The Phils added 8 runs in what could have been a sweep of Atlanta if not for Ryan Madson.
April 21st: Thank God for Roy Halladay. Second CG of the season, and the perfect person to kill a losing streak.
April 20th: It’s been a few days and a few losses, and that trend continued tonight. Kendrick pitched well, but Ryan Madson gave up 2 homers in the ninth, leading to a 10th inning loss. Clown.
April 15th: Kyle Kendrick looked awful again last night. He’s relying too much on the cutter. Also, if you were unaware, J-Roll is on the DL. It’s all good though.
April 12th: Cole Hamels = Messy. Got win #2 in as many starts but this wasn’t pretty. 4 earned in 5 2/3rds innings isn’t great, but with a 5 run fifth inning from the Phils, they let him off the hook. It’s always nice to win a home opener. (6-1)
April 11th: Roy Halladay = Dirty. Complete game count is now 1. Nine innings of great pitching giving up one unearned run, to sweep the ‘Stros. (5-1)
April 10th: Decent win by the Phils. Moyer was effective, and the relief was “eh”, but the bats came out slugging. In other news, JC Romero is looking good in his rehab starts, while Brad Lidge got rocked in his first rehab appearance. Sigh.
April 8th: We took a loss today, but it’s definitely a game we could’ve won even with a bad start from Kendrick (6 runs in 4 IP). What our starters have to realize is that our offense is good enough to bail them out in most games if they pitch decent.
April 7th: The Phils are so good, and the Nationals are so bad, that I’m not even going to wait until tonight’s game is over, to say it feels good to start off 2-0. Hamels needs to get off to a good start this season, and so far, so good!
