Apparantly when Major League Baseball made an announcment that Albert Pujols will be in the 2009 HR Derby they forgot to give the memo to Mr.Pujols.  For an event that isn’t even taking place until July 13th, Pujols apparantly had already committed.  Think again, after the Cardinals game vs. the Cubs on Thursday Pujols said,”I know they’re using my picture and everything to promote the All-Star Game, but I have never heard that (participating in the HR Derby).”

On Saturday, Roy Oswalt and Adam Wainwright were having a pretty good pitchers duel, until the fifth inning that is. Albert Pujols got his first hit of the day in that fifth inning, a grand slam, to break the game open. Then, he got his second hit of the day in the seventh inning, a measly three-run homer, to put the game away. Both of these homeruns were absolute BULLETS.
